Knitting tip for Knitting Inverness diamonds - as there are 12 rows to the pattern use a post-it note to place under the row you are working on, when finished a row move your post-it to the next row below



Inverness_ Diamonds

Cast on multiples of 17 stitches
(for our sample we have used 34 stitches)
 
Row 1: *k1, p3, k9, p3, k1; repeat from * to end of row
Row 2: *p2, k3, p7, k3, p2; repeat from * to end of row
Row 3: *k3, p3, k5, p3, k3; repeat from * to end of row
Row 4: *p4, k3, p3, k3, p4; repeat from * to end of row
Row 5: *k5, p3, k1, p3, k5; repeat from * to end of row
Row 6: *p6, k5, p6; repeat from * to end of row
Row 7: *k7, p3, k7; repeat from * to end of row
Row 8: Repeat Row 6
Row 9: Repeat Row 5
Row 10: Repeat Row 4
Row 11: Repeat Row 3
Row 12: Repeat Row 2

These 12 rows form your pattern.  Repeat rows 1-12
