These are the generally accepted yarn classifications
in the United States. In the United Kingdom and
other countries, yarn names may be different.

bulky/chunky

9-11
(5.5-8)

4 sts = 1 inch

extra-bulky/chunky

10 1/2 and up
(6.5 and up)

4 sts or fewer sts = 1 inch
