Hello from Knitter's in Malaysia

This very special group of knitter's have been so busy knitting up a storm that they often forget what time it is.

Hannah sent an email to Knit-easy to tell us more about her very special group of knitters.  They get together and start knitting, chatting, helping each other with their techniques, they enjoy this special time so much that they find themselves up to midnight and beyond.

They even have to get friends to send text messages to remind them to put down their knitting needles, otherwise their bosses will be upset with them the next day.  They truly have the knitting bug.

Here is Hannah's latest email and photo of this special group

Dear Anna
Please find attached the photo of us taken just a couple of hours ago at a friend's house.

Please be introduced to us:

From Left to Right

Jurra: (the radiant mum to be in Pink) - I am now 7 months pregnant with my first child and am really excited waiting for the arrival of my precious baby in November. I started to make this yellow baby blanket on 17 July 2006 and the baby booties (first attempt at knitting).

The baby blanket took me 1.5 months to complete, given the demands on my time, it took at times, unbelievable creativity just to find those precious few minutes to knit each day. Believe me, I carried my knitting bag around everywhere I went, even in the car while my husband or friends drove, I managed to knit 1-2 rows, enough to ensure satisfaction. For me, knitting is really good therapy particularly through out my period of pregnancy.

Janneth: I started knitting when I saw Jura and Hannah knitting. It looked easy. So for the first time I learnt from Hannah how to cast on, knit and purl.

After that I decided to make my first project, a baby pullover and hat, which I’m holding in the picture. Well I am proud to show my first projects even though I have made lots of mistakes. But it hasn’t stopped me from knitting besides I learning more everytime. Now I have started on a cardigan for my daughter.  I enjoy knitting.

Hannah:  The scarf I am wearing, which is for a very special someone in my life, is the 4th scarf I have knitted since I started to learn how to knit. Knitting this scarf I had to learn how to create yarn overs and so I am extra pleased to say that they have turned out just fine.

I am now working on a baby blanket for a friend and a shawl for myself. For me, knitting is truly a hobby I derive immense pleasure from and a wonderful way of making new friends and getting closer to existing ones.

Thank you very much for the bonus tips.  Crikey!! Just blows me away how much I don't know about knitting.

Knit-easy - a Knitter's Guide to Success is what I have been searching for and the tips are out of this world.  You are a star Anna.
